Ashaiman NDC Chairman accuses former chairman of being the master architect of Independent Candidate brouhaha in the constituency

It is alleged that in this year’s parliamentary elections, there will be an independent candidate to file and contest for the MP-ship position in Ashaiman in the constituency.

This issue has become the talk of the town and is a pressing issue most of the constituents are talking about, including how it can affect the NDC party in the constituency.

The Constituency Chairman for Ashaiman NDC, Hon. Shaddah Omar Jallo, has come out strongly to make a serious allegation against the former Constituency Chairman, who was the brain behind the independence candidature.

He explained that most of the former chairman’s supporters are those following and campaigning for the independent candidate on grounds against the party.

He said anytime the former chairman would contest in parliamentary primaries and lose, he tried to find a way to disturb the peace of the party with an ill-motivated constituency.

Per the assertion of the incumbent Constituency Chairman, the so-called independent candidate is not an NDC member or a sympathiser.

He stated empathetically that the independent candidate is an NPP member who always sponsors the NPP at the national level.

The caution he has sounded to the self acclaimed independent candidate, is that there is no way he can be a threat to the party or get any reasonable figure if he goes ahead to contest.

It will be better for him to rescind his decision and find a legitimate way to join the NDC than to claim that he is an NDC member, which he is not per their records.
