The Centre for Financial Literacy Education Africa (CFLE Africa), in collaboration with GhanaThink Foundation, is organising community meetups in seven Ghanaian cities to raise awareness about estate and gift planning.
The initiative, being held as part of Estate and Gift Planning Awareness Month in October 2026, seeks to educate the public on the importance of protecting assets, preserving family wealth and securing legacies for future generations.
The Community Konnect Meetups will take place in Ho, Koforidua, Wa, Cape Coast, Accra, Tema and Sunyani, bringing together members of the public to discuss practical approaches to estate and gift planning.
According to the organisers, the initiative is open to business owners, professionals, parents, young adults and aspiring wealth creators seeking to improve their understanding of financial planning and wealth preservation.
“Let’s come together to discuss the importance of estate and gift planning, protecting our assets, preserving family wealth, and securing our legacy for future generations,” the organisers said in an invitation to the public.
The first meetup is scheduled for October 23 at In & Out Chillies in Trafalgar, Ho, at 5:30 p.m.
Four other sessions will take place on October 24 in Koforidua, Wa and Cape Coast. The Koforidua meetup will be held at Kekro Lounge at 5:00 p.m., while the session in Wa is scheduled for Kayla Hotel at 4:30 p.m. The Cape Coast event will take place at De Haven Workspace, Kingsway, at 6:00 p.m.
The programme will continue in Accra on October 30 at Yenkodi, East Legon, at 6:00 p.m.
On October 31, meetups will be held at Kings Food Court, Denovo Plaza, in Tema, and GreenLeaf Eatery in Sunyani, both scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
Under the theme, “Plan Today, Secure Tomorrow,” the initiative aims to encourage participants to take practical steps towards managing their assets and making arrangements for the transfer of wealth.
The organisers said the gatherings would provide opportunities for participants to learn practical lessons and connect with others interested in improving their financial well-being.
The programme is supported by several organisations, including the Ghana Association of Banks, the Ghana Bar Association, the Financial Awareness Foundation and KPMG.
The organisers are encouraging individuals and institutions interested in partnering with or sponsoring the programme to contact CFLE Africa via its website, www.cfleafrica.org, by email at info@cfleafrica.org, or by phone on 0545535887.
