Cheddar unmasks himself as “The New Force”

Nana Kwame Bediako, aka Freedom Jacob Caesar or Cheddar

Businessman and socialite Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, has revealed he is the face behind the controversial billboard with the caption “The New Force”.

This comes after weeks of speculation about the identity of the weirdly masked face that billboards featured along major highways across the country.

“I know you have been looking for the man in the mask. The man in the mask is sitting in front of you,” Cheddar, also referred to as Freedom Jacob Caesar, stated in a press conference on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

“I am nothing to be scared of. I came to you as your salvation. I don’t invest in myself alone; I invest in you,” he added.

Cheddar, together with renowned African politicians and speakers including Prof. P.L.O. Lumumba from Kenya, Peter Obi from Nigeria, and Julius Malema from South Africa, had planned on hosting a “Pan-African event” on Sunday named “The Convention” at the Black Star Square.

However, the event suffered a last-minute cancellation when a communiqué from the Office of the President denied the organisers of the venue, citing an “unforeseen state event” on that same day.

Last month, a public relations officer of The New Force, Shalimar Abbiusi, a Belgian, was arrested and prosecuted by immigration officials for illegal entry into the country and not possessing a working permit.

She was freed by the court but was later re-arrested and deported out of Ghana.
