The Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) has declared three women wanted in connection with alleged financial crimes said to have caused loss to the state.
In separate public notices issued on Thursday, May 8, the anti-graft agency identified the suspects as Mercy Korang, Rita Ewura Abena Appiah, and Esther Osaah Boateng.
EOCO stated that the three are being sought for allegedly “causing financial loss to the State,” although the agency did not disclose the amount involved or the specific institutions affected.
The publication of the notices forms part of what officials describe as ongoing efforts to combat economic and organised crime in the country.
The agency appealed to the public to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
“Any person(s) with information on the said individuals should contact the EOCO Head Office or the nearest police station immediately,” the notices stated.
EOCO said members of the public may report information directly to its head office, located adjacent to the Old Parliament House on Barnes Road in Accra, or through any of its regional offices nationwide.
The agency also provided two hotline numbers — 0579723307 and 0579709066 — for persons wishing to share information relevant to the investigations.
