The Ghana Youth Tech Summit has unveiled the theme for its 2026 edition, which will focus on young industry builders and their innovative impact in Ghana.
The theme for this year’s summit, “Building What’s Next: Youth Driving Innovation and Inclusive Growth”, highlights innovative solutions and inclusive growth driven by young people to solve real-world problems.
The event, scheduled for November 7, 2026, at the Cedi Conference Centre of the University of Ghana, will bring together policymakers, young entrepreneurs and other key stakeholders.
Executive Director of Nova Impact Africa, Celestina Aidoo, said the selected theme aligns with the rapid growth of technology. She added that young people are increasingly taking the lead in technological advancement, hence the focus on youth-driven innovation.
“This theme is important because we are at a point where technology is changing very rapidly, from artificial intelligence, climate technology and digital technology to the future of work.
“At the same time, we have a young population, and young people are going to be at the centre of how these changes affect our economies and our communities. The conversation cannot only be about the technologies themselves. It has to be about who gets access to opportunities, who is building the solutions, and how we make sure that innovation creates opportunities for more people.”
Miss Aidoo also expressed hope that participants would challenge themselves to create solutions and lead efforts that positively impact the future of Ghana and beyond.
“What we hope to achieve with this theme is to move beyond conversations about technology and create practical pathways for young builders to participate in the digital economy. We want young people to leave the summit with knowledge, connections, opportunities and, importantly, the confidence to see themselves as builders and contributors to Ghana’s future.”
This year’s summit will feature speakers from across the technology ecosystem. They include Edmond Moukala, UNESCO Representative to Ghana, and Erica Franklin, Board Chair of Nova Impact Africa and Global Director of Sales at Sista in Sales.
The 2026 edition will be the fourth instalment of the summit since its inception in 2023. The summit has been dedicated to creating platforms for stakeholders to engage in meaningful, action-oriented conversations on the way forward through technology.
