Fido has emerged as the biggest winner at the 5th edition of the Ghana Fintech Awards, securing six major awards, including the coveted Fintech Company of the Year title.

The awards ceremony, held in Accra, brought together fintech innovators, financial institutions, regulators, and policymakers to celebrate excellence and innovation in Ghana’s digital finance sector.

Fido’s dominance on the night was marked by wins across multiple categories, including Financial Inclusion, Partnerships, and Product Innovation, underscoring its growing influence in expanding access to digital financial services.

In addition to the company’s achievements, its Head of Business Development, Philip Twum, was named Young Fintech Leader of the Year, further cementing the company’s impact at both institutional and individual levels.

Speaking after receiving the awards, a representative of the company described the recognition as both an honor and a responsibility. “These wins reflect our commitment to putting financial tools in the hands of every Ghanaian and expanding access to financial services,” the company noted.

Fido’s success was largely attributed to its innovative digital lending solutions and strategic partnerships with both banking and non-banking institutions, positioning it as a leader in Ghana’s fintech ecosystem.

The company’s performance on the night highlights the increasing role of fintech firms in driving financial inclusion, innovation, and digital transformation within the country.
