The Ministry of Finance has put out new appointments to leadership positions within the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA).
The new leadership appointments in GRA positions aim to build the GRA and uphold fairness, exemplary client care, and professionalism, according to a press statement on April 9, 2024.
The outgoing Commissioner for Support Services, Ms. Julie Essiam, was confirmed as the new Commissioner-General and will oversee the entire affairs of the Authority.
Mr. Edward Apenteng Gyamerah has been appointed Commissioner for the Domestic Tax Revenue Division, tasked with domestic tax-related matters within the country.
Also, Ms. Pearl Darko is the new Commissioner for the Support Services Division, and Brigadier General Ziblim Ayorrogo takes on the role of Commissioner for Customs.
The Finance Ministry expressed its appreciation to the past leadership of GRA for their commitment and services to the nation and congratulated the new leadership.
The announcement of the new heads within the GRA follows the dissolution of the board and the removal of the immediate past GRA boss, Rev. Dr. Amishaddai Owusu-Amoah, by President Akufo-Addo last month.
