The National Information Technology Agency (NITA) has announced a temporary outage on the Government of Ghana Email Platform, disrupting official communication services.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, 27th August 2025, the agency assured the public and users of the platform that technical teams are working diligently to restore full functionality.

“Our technical team has identified the issue and is working diligently to restore full functionality as quickly as possible. We understand the importance of this platform in supporting government communication and public service delivery, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this disruption may cause,” the release signed by the Acting Director General stated.

NITA emphasized that every effort is being made to resolve the situation in the shortest possible time. It further assured users that regular updates will be provided to keep them informed of progress.

“We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work towards restoring the service. We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused,” the agency added.

The Government of Ghana Email Platform is widely used by ministries, departments, and agencies as an official communication tool.
