In an effort to engage Ghanaians and revive the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in anticipation of the 2024 presidential campaign, NDC flag bearer John Dramani Mahama will launch the “Building Ghana Tour” this month.

According to a statement released last Friday and signed by Mr. Mahama’s Special Aide, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the tour would include a number of events, such as town hall meetings, outreach programmes for the community, accepting invitations from organisations, communities, and chiefs, and having in-depth discussions with numerous stakeholders.

“Through this active connection with Ghanaians, Mr. Mahama aims to provide Ghanaians with renewed hope and reassurance. He will also reiterate his social contract with the people and prepare the party’s grassroots for the 2024 election,” it said.

“Mahama believes in the transformative power of unity and national cohesion and continues to emphasise the importance of collective efforts in building the Ghana we want and moving Ghana forward,” the release added.

Mr. Mahama’s tour comes around the same time the NPP selected Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as its flagbearer last Saturday.

This means the former president will be squaring it up with the current vice president for the leadership of the country come December 2024.
