The Africa Prosperity Network has announced the winner of its historic Make Africa Borderless Now! logo design competition, following an unprecedented response from creatives across Africa and the global African diaspora.

In a press release issued in Accra on Monday, 2 February 2026, the Network revealed that the competition attracted 1,041 entries from designers spanning all six regions of Africa — East, West, North, South and Central Africa — as well as Global Africa, representing the diaspora. The initiative, launched on 14 January 2026, sought to identify a compelling visual identity for the pan-African movement advocating a unified and borderless African continent.

Originally scheduled to announce the winning design on 26 January, the organisers extended the evaluation period to allow for a thorough and fair assessment of the unusually high number of submissions. According to the Africa Prosperity Network, the overwhelming response reflects strong continental and diaspora support for the vision of seamless trade, travel and economic integration across Africa.

“The remarkable level of participation demonstrates the widespread enthusiasm for a borderless Africa and the creative energy behind the movement,” the statement said.

The selection process followed a rigorous, multi-stage evaluation framework, with designs assessed on creative excellence, conceptual clarity and alignment with the Make Africa Borderless Now! vision. From the initial pool, 541 entries progressed to the first round, before being narrowed down to 80 shortlisted designs in the second round. Ten finalists emerged in the third stage, with five exceptional designs advancing to the final round.

The final decision was made by the Africa Prosperity Network Board of Directors. The winning entry secured a majority of votes in both the penultimate and final rounds, standing out for its ability to comprehensively capture the ideals of the movement.

According to APN, the winning logo clearly articulates the single African market agenda and symbolises the unrestricted movement of people, goods, services and capital across the continent. Both the visual elements and the designer’s accompanying narrative were described as powerfully aligned with the campaign’s core objectives.

The logo will be officially unveiled on the third day of the Africa Prosperity Dialogues 2026, scheduled to take place at the Accra International Conference Centre. The unveiling will coincide with the formal launch of the Make Africa Borderless Now! movement, marking the start of a continent-wide advocacy drive aimed at accelerating African economic integration and shared prosperity.
