Management of the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) has announced its 88th cash grant payments to beneficiaries of their programme.
In a press statement dated February 18, 2024, LEAP disclosed that out of the three hundred and fifty thousand, one hundred and forty-one (350,141) total number of households, only three hundred and twenty-five thousand, nine hundred and sixty (325,960) households will receive payment.
“Keep in mind that, for the 88th cycle payment, households with one eligible member will be paid GHC 128,000, while households with two eligible members will be paid GHC 152,000. Then households with three eligible members will be paid 176,000, and households with four or more eligible members will be paid GHC 212,000.”
“However, the remaining twenty-five thousand, one hundred and eighty-one (25,181) households will not be paid due to the ongoing validation and reassessment exercise across the country,” the statement highlighted.
Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) is a social protection programme for extremely poor households aimed at reducing extreme poverty by smoothing consumption and promoting human capital development through cash grants and access to other social services.
