The Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations has appealed to church leaders to formally communicate any prophecies or spiritual insights of national significance to his office before making them public.
In a statement issued on Sunday, August 10, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, speaking on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, said the directive was aimed at promoting responsibility, discernment, and national stability.
He urged all prophets, pastors and other spiritual leaders to submit prophecies relating to political figures, governance, national security, or public stability directly to the Office of the Presidential Envoy for urgent review and possible escalation.
“This is in the spirit of responsibility, discernment, and stewardship over the nation’s destiny,” the statement read. The office provided an email address and telephone contact for such submissions.
Mr Afriyie Ankrah also expressed appreciation to the clergy for their sustained leadership in fostering peace, moral integrity, and national unity, describing their role in Ghana’s civic and spiritual life as “indispensable.”
