The National Service Authority (NSA) says new digital reforms and internal control measures will eliminate payroll fraud and ensure timely payment of allowances to service personnel.
In a media release on Tuesday, October 7, the Authority said it has “implemented stringent new IT reforms and internal controls” following recommendations from a recent forensic audit.
The NSA added that it is working directly with the Controller and Accountant-General’s Department to “strengthen financial controls” and will conduct “periodic efficiency checks” to sustain accountability.
“These measures are designed to make payroll fraud a thing of the past and ensure the timely and accurate payment of allowances,” the statement said.
Beyond the reforms, the Authority announced new career-oriented initiatives to diversify service placements. These include Youth in Agriculture, which will provide hands-on training and start-up support; Community Improvement Programmes in health, literacy, and sanitation; and Private Sector Partnerships to connect graduates with local and international companies.
A new Skills Capacity Training Framework will also equip personnel with “future job-ready soft skills” to enhance employability.
Detailed registration guidelines for the 2025/26 service year will be available on www.gnsa.gov.gh from October 7, 2025, the Authority added.
