The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament will officially commence on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.
In a formal notice issued from his office on October 8, 2025, the Speaker said the decision follows an earlier deferment of the parliamentary calendar announced on October 6.
“Pursuant to Order 58 of the Standing Orders of Parliament, I give notice that the Third Meeting of the First Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic shall now commence on Tuesday, 21st day of October 2025 at 1400 hours at Parliament House, Accra,” the statement read.
An earlier notice issued on Monday had indefinitely postponed the planned October 14 resumption date.
