The Chief Executive Officer of Vanguard Multimedia Limited, Samuel Ato Afful, has been appointed Chairman of the 2026 Tamale Technical University (TaTU) Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Job Fair.

The two-day event, dubbed “The Exit Plan,” is scheduled for July 29 and 30, 2026, as part of the university’s SRC Week celebrations.

Vanguard Multimedia Limited has also been named the Official Media Partner for the 2026 SRC Week celebrations, under a strategic partnership aimed at promoting youth development, employability and stronger links between academia and industry.

The Job Fair is expected to connect students and recent graduates with employers, industry professionals and career development opportunities while equipping participants with practical knowledge to navigate the transition from university into the world of work.

Speaking ahead of the event, Mr Afful described his appointment as both an honour and an affirmation of Vanguard Multimedia’s commitment to creating practical pathways for young people beyond academic qualifications.

“One of the greatest challenges facing many graduates today is not obtaining a qualification, but successfully transitioning into the world of work.”

He said initiatives such as “The Exit Plan” provide students with opportunities to engage industry leaders, understand employer expectations, explore career prospects and prepare for life after university.

“It is a privilege to chair this important event, and Vanguard Multimedia is proud to support an initiative that empowers young people to build successful careers,” he added.

Mr Afful said the partnership with the TaTU SRC extends beyond media sponsorship, noting that it reflects the company’s broader commitment to youth development, innovation and leadership within tertiary institutions.

He said universities should serve not only as centres of academic excellence but also as incubators for the next generation of leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators and professionals.

As Official Media Partner, Vanguard Multimedia will provide extensive coverage of the SRC Week activities through its multimedia platforms, including NorthCiti TV, NorthCiti Radio and Zosimli Radio, as well as its digital news platforms, social media channels and community networks.

The company said the partnership will help increase the visibility of the celebrations while showcasing the achievements, talents and aspirations of the TaTU community to audiences across Northern Ghana and beyond.

The 2026 TaTU SRC Week is expected to feature a range of educational, career, sporting, cultural and entertainment activities, with the Job Fair serving as one of its major highlights.

Vanguard Multimedia said the collaboration reinforces its vision of using media as a catalyst for education, community development and youth empowerment, while strengthening partnerships between educational institutions and industry.

The company also congratulated the TaTU SRC and university management for championing initiatives designed to empower students beyond the lecture hall.
