The 2024 presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is set to lead a nationwide post-election “Thank You Tour” starting Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from the party’s headquarters in Accra.

In a statement, the party said the tour, sanctioned by the NPP’s National Council, is aimed at expressing the gratitude of Dr. Bawumia, the party’s national leadership, and the 2024 campaign team to supporters and the general public for their dedication and encouragement throughout the 2024 election period.

Under the theme “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18), the tour will include a series of regional engagements and will conclude with interfaith thanksgiving services, reflecting both Christian and Islamic traditions.

The initiative, according to the party, seeks to promote national unity and appreciation following the general elections.

The scheduled itinerary spans all 16 regions of Ghana, beginning in the Western Region on April 26 and ending in the Central Region on June 4, 2025. The full schedule is as follows:

  • Western – Saturday, April 26

  • Western North – Sunday, April 27

  • Ahafo – Monday, April 28

  • Bono – Monday-Tuesday, April 28–29

  • Ashanti – Tuesday–Thursday, April 29–May 1

  • Bono East – Friday, May 2

  • Savannah – Saturday, May 3

  • Upper West – Sunday, May 4

  • Upper East – Monday, May 5

  • North East – Tuesday, May 6

  • Volta – Thursday, May 8

  • Eastern – Friday-Saturday, May 9–10

The NPP emphasized that this tour is not only about gratitude but also an opportunity to engage with party members and citizens on the way forward after the elections.
