The stage is set for the landmark fifth edition of the Ghana FinTech Awards, scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at the Underbridge Annex, East Legon, Accra at 5:30pm. With the theme “From Awareness to Action: Building a Cyber-secure Fintech Landscape in Ghana,” this year’s event promises to be the most significant gathering of the nation’s financial technology leaders and innovators.

Organized by Arkel Limited in collaboration with the Fintech Management Solutions, Ghana FinTech and Payments Association and KPMG serving as the official Knowledge Partner, the Awards have cemented their status as the premier platform for recognizing excellence within the FinTech and banking sectors.

The Ghana FinTech Awards serves a dual purpose: to identify and celebrate the stalwarts of the industry, and to acknowledge the relentless efforts of individuals and companies striving to build competitive, sustainable enterprises. By highlighting these achievements, the Awards promote Ghana’s competitive advantage in the global FinTech landscape, driving the national agenda of economic growth and universal financial inclusion.

Reflecting on the legacy of the event, the Project Coordinator for the Ghana FinTech Awards stated: “Reaching our 5th year is a significant milestone that reflects the sheer determination of our local innovators. Over the last five years, the Ghana Fintech Awards has grown into more than just a ceremony; they are a vital mirror of Ghana’s journey toward a resilient and inclusive digital economy. We are proud to provide a platform that acknowledges the hard work, grit, and successes of the individuals and companies that have made financial transactions more convenient for every Ghanaian.”

With the ceremony now just weeks away, the selection of winners is currently underway through a hybrid model that ensures both popular acclaim and expert scrutiny. The official voting period, which opened on 11 February 2026, will remain active until 11 March 2026, allowing stakeholders to have their say across the Awards’ 25 competitive categories.

Members of the public are encouraged to participate by casting their votes for the nominees they believe are driving the most impact. Voting is accessible via two channels:

  • Online: Visit the official website at ghanafintechawards.org
  • Mobile: Dial the USSD code *711*80# (available on all networks) and enter the nominee’s unique voting code.

The 2026 theme, “From Awareness to Action: Building a Cyber-secure Fintech Landscape in Ghana,” arrives at a critical juncture for the industry. As digital financial services expand exponentially, the Awards will spotlight those organizations and individuals who are moving beyond simple awareness to implement robust, tangible measures that protect consumer data and secure the nation’s financial infrastructure against emerging threats.
