The Most Rev. Bishop Richard Kuuia Baawobr, who was elected by Pope Francis, has paid a courtesy call on the paramount chief of Lawra, Naa Puowele Karbo III, at his palace in Lawra.

The purpose was to introduce himself to the paramount chief, the Lawra pognaa, and his elders, and also to seek blessings from them.

As part of this, he stated that he had not forgotten about the project of the missionaries, which was placed before him during his first visit to Lawra.

The Paramount Chief, Naa Puowele Karbo, stated in his welcome address that he was highly happy upon hearing of his appointment by Pope Francis and that this was a blessing to the people of the Upper West Region.

He reminded him of the projects on his first visit to Lawra by saying that the land is ready for the project and that whenever he was ready to start with the project, he should let him know, adding that he is always welcome to his palace whenever he wants to visit.
