The 2025 edition of the Ghana Robotics Competition (GRC) will take place from October 24 to 25, 2025, at the University of Ghana, Legon, under the theme “Future-Ready: Youth, AI and Sustainability.”

The annual national event brings together young innovators, students, and educators to explore creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork through robotics and artificial intelligence (AI).

It aims to nurture Ghana’s next generation of technology leaders and innovators in a rapidly advancing digital world.

Organised by Firefly Ghana in collaboration with leading educational and tech partners, including the University of Ghana, Beyond the Finish Line, Abacus Robotics, Seventh Creative, and Xplore Robotics, the competition provides a platform for young people to apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills to real-world challenges.

The 2025 edition will feature student teams from across the country competing in various robotics tasks designed to promote innovation, sustainability, and AI-driven solutions.

According to organisers, the initiative not only builds technical capacity but also encourages teamwork, creativity, and ethical leadership among the youth.

Students and schools interested in participating can register online by visiting tally.so/r/noxz26 or by scanning the QR code on the official event flyer. Further information can be obtained via +233 26 878 8343 or +233 24 449 5359.

The Ghana Robotics Competition continues to play a critical role in advancing STEM education and equipping Ghanaian youth with the knowledge and skills needed for a sustainable, AI-driven future.
