National Service Authority boss reassigned amid posting delays

The Acting Director-General of the National Service Authority (NSA), Felix Gyamfi, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Finance after seven months in charge of the authority.

The Presidency has not provided reasons for the sudden change, which takes effect immediately.

His reassignment comes at a time when the annual posting of national service personnel has been delayed.

The delay follows an audit of the NSA’s online portal, which is used to process the deployment of graduates across the country.

Sources suggest tensions between the Authority and its supervising Ministry of Youth Development over whether to retain the existing software or introduce a new system may have contributed to the current stalemate.

The NSA is yet to issue an official statement on the matter.
