The National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP) has announced the temporary suspension of all staff due to unresolved employment-related issues.

The directive takes effect after the close of work on Friday, February 21, 2025, with employees instructed not to report to work starting Monday, February 24.

In an internal memo, NEIP’s Chief Executive Officer cited legal and procedural complications as reasons for the decision.

“The complexity and legal implications of these issues prevent us from using operational funds to pay monthly staff allowances,” the memo stated.

Management has been directed to strictly follow due process in addressing staff employment matters to prevent further legal complications.

“Once the matters are adequately addressed, management may call upon specific staff whose services will be required to resume work,” the CEO noted.

Additionally, staff in possession of any NEIP property have been ordered to return it to the HR Officer by Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

“Failure to do so will be considered as deliberate stealing of such item(s),” the memo warned.

The NEIP assured employees that updates would be provided as the situation develops.

Meanwhile, The Sikaman Times’ sources reveal that the program, which was initiated by the previous administration, is currently facing financial challenges.
