The Association of Ghana Startups, organisers of Ghana Startup Week (GSW), have unveiled the shortlisted nominees for the Ghana Innovation and Startup Awards 2023, an activity to be held during the GSW, scheduled for 12 to 15 December, 2023.

GSW 2023, to be held under the theme Youthful Startup Innovations: Fueling Ghana’s Future Prosperity, at the Accra Digital Centre, is being organised in collaboration with the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, Ghana Enterprises Agency, National Youth Authority, Ghana Digital Centres Ltd., Venture Capital Trust Fund, GEC+ Africa 2024, and other key players in the startup ecosystem.

GSW aims to promote ecosystem dialogue and knowledge management as important drivers of policy planning and implementation, as well as building capacities and highlighting the promising industrial sectors that attract investment or funding, continental trade, and sustainable growth of our economy to drive the engagement of Startups, SMEs, Youth and Women entrepreneurs.

Activities such as the Ghana Startup Ecosystem Summit, the Artisans/Non-Tech Startups Forum, and Startup Sectoral Forums, among other interesting activities, will be held during the week, including the Ghana Innovation and Startup Awards, which seek to celebrate the achievements of Ghana’s youth and the startup ecosystem players.

The general public is admonished to visit www.ghanastartupweek.org to vote for their favourite startup to stand a chance of winning the ultimate prize of a sponsored trip to South Africa to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Congress in March 2024.
