3 candidates to contest Kpandai parliamentary rerun on December 30

The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced that a rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election will be held on Tuesday, 30th December, 2025, following a High Court ruling.

According to the EC, the Tamale High Court, on Monday, 24th November, 2025, ordered a rerun of the Kpandai parliamentary election within thirty days. T

he Commission said it received formal notification of the resulting parliamentary vacancy from the Clerk to Parliament on Tuesday, 9th December, 2025, confirming that the seat is now officially vacant.

The upcoming election will involve only the three candidates who contested the 2024 parliamentary election in the constituency. The EC assured the public that preparations are underway to ensure a transparent and credible rerun.

The Commission urged eligible voters in the Kpandai Constituency to take note of the election date and exercise their franchise to choose their parliamentary representative.
