The office of the former president, John Agyekum Kufuor, has dispelled rumors that he has passed.

In a statement, the office lamented the numerous rumors on social media that the “Gentle Giant” has died, describing them as malicious and uncanny.

“We wish to categorically deny such an occurrence and state emphatically that the former president is very much alive and well”, the office said in a statement on Tuesday, July 18.

This is the second time the former presidents have come out to reject such rumors, whose source is unclear.

The Sikaman Times checks with reliable sources confirm that former President Kufuor, 84, is alive and alternates between his Airport and Peduase Lodge residences.
