The Ministry of Education has rescheduled the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, August 31 to Friday, September 4, 2026.
The Ministry said the decision followed requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ data onto the platforms of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the CSSPS.
“In response to these requests, the Ministry has decided to reschedule the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results from Monday, 31st August 2026 to Friday, 4th September 2026,” it said in a statement dated August 30, 2026.
The Ministry explained that the extension would enable all qualified students to complete the required processes and ensure that their information was properly captured in the system for placement in Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions.
It disclosed that about 20,000 qualified students had not yet had their school choices uploaded onto the CSSPS platform by their Heads of Schools, parents or guardians.
“This extension is intended to ensure that pending data submissions do not prevent these students from participating in the placement process,” the Ministry stated.
It has consequently urged parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools to use the additional period to submit and upload all outstanding information within the stipulated timeframe.
“Parents, guardians, students, and Heads of Schools are strongly urged to use this extension to submit and upload all outstanding information within the stipulated period,” it said.
The Ministry said the extension was part of efforts to protect the interests of all qualified students and ensure that incomplete data submissions did not undermine their chances of securing placement.
It further reaffirmed its commitment to a “fair, transparent, efficient, and orderly placement process” that gives every qualified student a meaningful opportunity to secure placement in an SHS or TVET institution.
The 2026/2027 CSSPS placement results will therefore be released on Friday, September 4, 2026.
