The Chief Supporter and Convenor of Team Legal Wives, Evangelist Papa Shee, has vowed to pursue justice for Mama Akosua Serwaa, the wife of the late highlife musician Charles Kwadwo Fosu, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, insisting she must receive what is due her in her husband’s estate.

He made the pledge at a press conference held on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Lapaz, a suburb of Accra. The event was dubbed “Justice for Mama Akosua Serwaa.”

Addressing journalists, Evangelist Papa Shee dismissed claims circulating on social and digital media following Daddy Lumba’s death, including speculation surrounding the artiste’s marriage and the circumstances of his demise.

According to him, Daddy Lumba never divorced his legally married wife, Mama Akosua Serwaa. He cited customary practices to support his claim, noting that the late musician performed the final funeral rites of Mama Akosua Serwaa’s deceased mother, a role traditionally reserved for a husband.

“There may have been disagreements, as in any relationship, but that does not mean they were divorced,” he said.

Evangelist Papa Shee also urged the public to disregard allegations that Mama Akosua Serwaa poisoned her husband, referencing what he described as Daddy Lumba’s last public video.

“He explained in that video that he was experiencing severe back pain, which affected his movement, and asked Ghanaians to ignore the false narratives,” he said.

Appealing to the judiciary and the general public, the evangelist called for fairness and moral responsibility in handling the matter.

“As an evangelist, I cannot keep quiet over the injustice being meted out to Mama Akosua Serwaa. Today it is her; tomorrow it could be your sister, your daughter, or even your mother,” he said.

He added that the issue goes beyond one family, warning that injustice in inheritance matters sets a dangerous precedent for society.
