The 1989 year group of Prampram Methodist School has donated various medical equipment worth GHC 1 million to the Prampam Polyclinic.
Leading the team to donate the medical equipment was the Paramount Chief of Prampram, Nene Tetteh Wakar ll, who explained the need for all to help institutions improve and ensure healthy lives and promote the well-being of all.
The medical equipment which was presented on behalf of the 1989 Methodist School year group was worth about 1 million cedis, which included crutches, medical hospital beds, bedsheets, wheel chairs, nose masks, hand sanitizers, among others.

On his part, Mr. Jacob Badu Agusha, who spoke on behalf of the 1989 year school group, explained that the equipment is to support Prampram Polyclinic to save lives and provide better healthcare for patients.
He stressed that it’s the group’s aim to improve the work of the health sector to save lives and urged them to put monetary value on the equipment.
The Prampram Health Promotion Officer, Mr. Boadu Kankam, who received the items on behalf of Prampram Polyclinic, thanked the donors for their kind gesture and appealed to indigenes of Prampram in the diaspora and other philanthropists for more support.
Also present at the brief ceremony were the chiefs and elders of Prampram Traditional Area and also a team comprising of medical doctors, laboratory technicians, physician assistants, dentists, and nurses who conducted a free health screening.
The screening was sponsored by Nene Tetteh Wakar ll, and about 700 residents of Prampram benefited from the exercise.
Residents who benefited from the free health screening exercise were diagnosed and treated for blood pressure, hypertension, blood sugar level, diabetes, hepatitis B, and malaria, among others, and drugs were given to beneficiaries to aid in the treatment of various ailments diagnosed.
