Why the NPP Needs a Unifying and Marketable Candidate for Youth Development and Job Creation- Dr. Bryan Acheampong (BA)

In an era where political leadership is no longer judged solely by rhetoric but by results, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) must field a candidate who not only understands the needs of Ghana’s growing youth population but has demonstrably invested in their future. At the intersection of innovation, infrastructure, and inclusive growth stands a brand that exemplifies the next phase of Ghana’s socio-economic transformation.

We present a unifying and marketable candidate—rooted in action, vision, and national development—whose brand boldly spans five key pillars: Agribusiness, Sports & Recreation, Aviation, Hospitality & Tourism, and ICT/Digitalization. These sectors directly address unemployment, skill development, and sustainable economic growth for Ghanaian youth.

A) Agribusiness:

Lifting Communities Through Value Addition

Agriculture remains Ghana’s economic backbone, and yet its full potential remains untapped. Our strategic investment in the Tiger Nut Processing Value Chain is more than a business—it is a community development engine. From farming to export, every link of this chain creates jobs, enhances rural incomes, and opens international markets for Ghanaian products.

Youth Impact: Thousands of young people are engaged in farming, processing, logistics, marketing, and export services.

National Relevance: Aligns with NPP’s Planting for Food and Jobs initiative but adds export-value and industrial processing.

B) Sports and Recreation: Building Health, Hope, and Opportunity

Sports is not just leisure—it is economy, diplomacy, and identity. Our strategic sports infrastructure projects are designed to empower young athletes and generate employment in construction, tourism, event management, and merchandising.

Nkawkaw Sports Stadium: A state-of-the-art facility under construction, set to become a hub for national tournaments and local pride.

Largest Golf Course in Ghana: Boosting sports tourism and positioning Ghana as a global destination for golf tournaments.

Largest Tennis Court Facility: Designed for international competitions, training academies, and youth camps.

These investments will build a talent pipeline, host global events, and elevate Ghana on the global sporting map—all while generating direct and indirect jobs.

C) Aviation: Accelerating Regional Development and Connectivity

Aviation remains a critical enabler of economic growth. Our development of Ghana’s Longest International Runway demonstrates a clear commitment to future-ready infrastructure.

Strategic Location: The runway enhances logistics, emergency services, and tourism.

Youth Benefit: Training for pilots, aviation technicians, ground staff, and air traffic controllers.

It is a statement that Ghana is open for business, connected to the world, and ready for the future.

D) Hospitality, Tourism & Economic Growth: Building Destinations, Not Just Hotels

Our flagship hospitality investment, Rock City Hotels, is more than a hotel—it’s an ecosystem for employment, tourism, and local economic growth.

Rock City Hotels: With over 2,000 rooms and expansive entertainment, health, and conference facilities, it stands as the largest hotel project in Africa.

Tourism Multiplier: Jobs in food services, travel, maintenance, events, security, and arts.

When Ghana becomes a preferred destination for business and leisure, it uplifts communities and sparks entrepreneurship.

E) ICT, Communication & Digitalization: Preparing Youth for the 21st Century

The future is digital. By launching and supporting International Programs and Software Development Initiatives, we ensure Ghanaian youth are equipped with competitive global skills.

Programs: Code-for-jobs bootcamps, mobile app incubators, AI and data science fellowships.

Infrastructure: Investment in broadband access and remote learning platforms.

Digitalization doesn’t just modernize—it democratizes opportunity, especially for rural and underserved youth.

Why will Ghana fail if we have such a President with real-time, tangible single handed achievements?

Conclusion: A Vision That Works for the Youth, A Candidate That Works for Ghana

The NPP cannot afford to gamble with its next flagbearer. Ghana’s youth—over 60% of the population—are watching, waiting, and ready. They need a candidate who has:

Built real projects, not just promises

Created jobs, not just slogans

Inspired unity through action, not division through ambition

This brand and leadership track record offer NPP the perfect blend of competence, inclusiveness, and marketability. It is not enough to win elections—we must win the future. And the future lies in empowering our youth, one industry at a time.

Let us rise with a candidate who represents the aspirations of the next generation. Let us unite behind a proven builder of industries, opportunities, and national pride.
